Have you been swamped with emails from the Stamporama Discussion Board when you are not interested in the particular discussion? Is there a particular topic on the Stamporama Discussion Board that you would like to receive email notifications about? Do you know how to turn these emails on or off? Read on....
You have the ability to turn the emails from the Stamporama Discussion Board on or turn them off. To do so, go into the Members Area.
Select the "Discussion Board Email Notifications" menu option that is highlighted above. You will then see your email notification settings.
You can see in the image above, I have some of the topics checked in the left hand column and some not checked. Check the box for the topics that you WANT to receive an email for. Uncheck the box for the topics the you DO NOT WANT to receive an email. Make sure that you save your changes by pressing the "Save Nofications" button at the bottom of the screen.
At the bottom of the list there are three options that you should be aware of:
- My Own Posts
- Replies to My Posts
- Send the email notification as HTML
If you don't want to receive an email for the discussion board postings that you make, uncheck "My Own Posts". If you want to make sure that you see the replies to the postings that you have made, check the box next to "Replies to My Posts". If your email program is having problems receiving emails that are formated in HTML (you are getting funny tags mixed up in your emails) uncheck the "Send email notification as HTML" option at the bottom of the list.
You now have control over the emails that you receive from the Discussion Board. Enjoy the discussions!
