The overprint is similar to semi-postal stamps, but it lacks the additional "discount" overprint (see Scott #B34). Without the discount overprint, I believe that the stamp may be a postal-fiscal stamp, not listed by the general catalogs. It may be Michel #376.
I knew you'd be able to make the call on it. I just wasn't 100% sure.
"The Scott semi-postal section for Turkey is poorly laid-out & confusing"
I figured it was a semi-postal, but I'll be darned if I can figure out what goes where in that section. (Of course, Volume 6 is the one volume in my file where the countries go from The Arabic numerals appear to say "1221." To what do they refer?
Hi,
It'a actually 1331, the year in the Turkish calendar, 1915.
I have brought this matter up with Scott.

Okay, I'm down to my last Turkish non-double stamp... and I'm stumped.

The pre-overprint stamp itself is Scott Cat #241....
But this overprint on this stamp... Scott doesn't list it. The overprint exists in Carmine (B19-B25). Scott says their are overprints on Thrace 10-12 and N82 and Turkey in Asia for this stamp set, but none of them match this overprint.
So what am I looking at? Anyone know a Scott, Michel, or SG # that I'm missing? (Or can I say I have a Turkey-bogus?)
