Don, this happens to me quite often as well. It is a Windows thing, I believe. It is easy to resolve. What I do is I block and copy the email address that is in the Outlook send line. Then I close Outlook, open my preferred email program and copy the address into the send line. I write my message and click on the send button. Easy work-around for that problem.

re: Webmaster address?

Hi David;

The webmaster is usually the guy who designs the sites features, writes the software and the
code to make it all happen. Ours on here must be good at not adding too many Java bells and
whistles, because our pages load super fast. If you go to StampBears.com, you will have to
turn off Java scripting to get page load times any where near to ours.

Software should always be coded by the people who will ultimately have to use it, otherwise
you end with something that is not as useful. Kinda like the difference between Windows and
Macintosh in the old days.

I think he had a little help tho, as Roy Lingen was also instrumental in it's design. Probably
mostly a functionality thing.

Just hiding out....

An aside here to Ken: How do I turn off java scripting? There are times when it would be nice to do this on various websites, but I do not know how.

re: Webmaster address?

Hi Bobby;

On Fire Fox, under the "Tools" menu, select "Options", then click on the "content" tab. Then
un-check the check box "enable Javascript. This will cause some sites to load faster. Some
buttons on here will not work with Java turned off. I'm not sure how to turn off on other brow-
sers, however that could be googled and easily found out.

In the early days of Windows vs. Macintosh I was referred to as a power user. That was be-
cause I jammed those gears on my Macintosh. However Windows may break if I do that so
I proceed with caution. Not all sites require Java to be on and having Java off will cause ani-
mated ads to not load. HEHEHE

This is a safe thing to mess with and can easily be turned back on.

Have Fun all....

re: Webmaster address?

Dave,

not a dumb question.

Ken is correct, but I'll add a bit more.

Roy is responsible for the initial structure of our web site. It is he who, as President of our club, moved us from paper to cyber existence, making many things possible or just easier and cheaper. He not only wrote the initial code, he was the driving force that made it happen.

Tim is our current webmaster. He has enhanced or replaced many areas that Roy originally wrote, and added many other sections.

To think of either Tim or Roy as merely webmasters, though, misses a huge part of their contributions to the site.

So, today, Tim continues to improve the site and he serves as a gate keeper, as well, helping to keep things running smoothly
