Hello Everyone,

Thank You for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself.I am Aurobindo, 34 years from Kolkata, India working as a consultant in IT sector.

My uncle who is residing with me had this hobby of collecting stamps worldwide.Lately with the growing age he had some medical emergency and is doing well and recovering now. I was going through the albums which my uncle had so devotedly maintained and was fascinated and attracted to this beautiful world of STAMPS.

Earlier I went through these albums but just like a visitor who has been asked to watch by the exhibitor.But now I am doing research on these old stamps and want to continue this collection and want to add up to my uncle's collection.

I have been going through many online articles and discussion forums and finally reached SOR. I would be completing a month now in here and am already in discussion with some of the members and have also initiated and bought stamps on Auction.

I am a regular member in SOR and like the discussion board which is operating here but apology for not contributing to this discussion as I have the responsibility of delivering work and tight schedule in my profession. I would definitely would contribute to this forum and would reply to anyone who would have any queries which will overlap my interest.

I would like to Thank all the Members and the Admin staff who take so much effort to bring this wonderful and informative site to us.

I would certainly post any questions which I come across to this forum and would like to get the Support from You All.

Many years ago (at age 21) I was in the US Merchant Marine and visited Colombo, Ceylon and Madras, India. I will never forget those days. Wonderful sights and smells and experiences. I still have a nice carved wooden elephant in my living room I purchased in Madras.
