re: Brazil 60r Inclinado

Are you sure your stamp is genuine? I didn't check the forgeries.

But your stamp seems to have elements of both Type I and Type II, which makes me suspicious.

I probably won't have time to post the type differences today, but if you could check the forgeries first.

{EDIT: I cropped the 60r section incorrectly the first time and left out the header. The corrected picture has now been uploaded.}

In your stamp, the bottom of the "6" is like Type I, and your "0" is a little like Type I (definitely NOT Type II "0")

The hinge of your "6" is Type II.

Having elements of both, makes me wonder...

re: Brazil 60r Inclinado

My classic era Brazil is in archive because I didn't have the RHM catalog then. I can't get to them right now. Not even sure which box they're in.

The right 60r stamp is definitely Type II. So I guess the left stamp is Type I, then. I had expected the hinge to be more rounded and the inside oval of the "0" to be more round. But I guess they hand-sketched or traced the illustrations in RHM.

Yes, there are 2 types for the 30r as well. I'll try to upload those a little later.

Note: I uploaded the corrected picture for the 60r. I had cropped the header off in my original upload.

Here is the 30r type info:

re: Brazil 60r Inclinado

I like Brazilian stamps and have quite a nice collection if I say so myself, but oh boy, do I hate that Série Vovó with all those watermarks... I just do not have the patience to go through all the duplicates to find out which is which.

"Penny" Kim... You never cease to amaze me! Is there anything you don't know!
Most impressed with JS and Nelson too, I must add!
Now I have to go reexamine my Brazil!

I'm just a parrot -- I simply repeat what I hear/read. Credit has to go to the books/catalogs/websites and the collectors/historians who put the time into compiling the information.
