I am sending out postcards for the Historical Society in my town. I have postcards with a photo on the front and an entirely blank back. I know that typically the blank back is split in half and the left has wording, the right has the address and stamp. Since I don't have a center line (they are 4"x6") how far beyond the half-way point can I print wording without it getting covered by the cancel?
Two notes - I'm sending out close to 100 postcards so my guess is that neither the postal clerk nor I have the patience to hand cancel all of them.
I don't have the time (the Society is big on doing things last minute), to play around with it and see how far the printing can go.
Any insight is appreciated!!

If it is not too time consuming, you could always take a ruler and draw a vertical line down the center of the card. Other wise just draw the line free hand (shorter option, but not as neat).

I guess my question is, can I go over the center line mark, and if so, how far?

draw the vertical line no less than 2 1/8" from the right side of the card. See http://www.wikihow.com/Address-a-Postcard
