Basically, if you keep the image within the following parameters, you'll be OK.
No more than 900 pixels wide
No more than 1200 pixels deep
Size no larger than 350kb
If all this is Greek, I can assist you with photo editing techniques. I use Irfanview (google it, it is free and an excellent photo viewer/editor), but most editors work much the same.
I use Irfanview too! I have found most of my images are too big on the first try, including those of recent purchases swiped off eBay. Reducing these images down to the needed size is very easy. Like 4 steps. And I too would be happy to help anyone.
A question- A lot of boards (as well as my Fotki.com photo site) automatically reduces the images you submit to the proper size. Is that in this board's software? Possibly something the board owner didn't notice on an update release?
That would make life so much easier.
Bill, I posted a tutorial on the use of IrfanView to edit pictures at http://stamporama.com/discboard/disc_main.php?action=20&id=11453#82350
I simply use Microsoft PAINT to re-size any images that are too large to load here. The criteria here is for smaller images. The same images I have used on EBAY or BIDSTART are too large to load here. This is the reverse problem I have when I do an EBAY auction because there my images are usually too small !
I'm new here and was wondering if someone could help me with image listing. I tried to
list a strip of 3 stamps earlier but the image was rejected for being to big. I scanned
the strip and cropped it close to the edges but was surprised when it was rejected.Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance......Bill
Here's what I tried to load
