Hi everyone,

I see a lot of familiar faces and names here, that's great!

Started collecting some 40 years ago and had different target countries. Now I collect/buy/sell WW classic-era stamps, revenues and covers (1840-1900). Main interest (currently Winking) on South and Central America.

Had stores and did auctions on bidstart, Feebay, Delcampe and closed them due to lack of time. Now and then I write on Wikipedia and contribute to Wikimedia.

Anyway, hope i can contribute here too.

Ah, another WW classical era collector- Welcome! Applause

You actually deserve the "Classical" label, I collect 1840-1940 WW, which is a bit more modern. Cool

Ooooh those Guanacaste overprints and the 1882 UPU's, got a few of them on my wishlist.

A few nice other stamps in my collection

Arno:

Very nice Costa Rica! The Alajuela postmark is beautiful. I am on the board-of-directors for the Society of Costa Rica Collectors (SOCORICO). We have a plethora of reference material, and a specialised catalogue.

The postmarks on the first few issues of Costa Rica have been forged, but the reference material is very good at helping you identify the "weeds in your album".

I have recently purchased the specialised catalogue of the Ambulante (Travelling Post Offices) railway post offices. I find them very interesting. The catalogue is in Spanish and English.
