I've just had a similar problem to one experienced by cocollectibles on an earlier thread:

The following thread:

http://Europe/Germany : Third Reich stamps - some facts and figures

...showed under 'postings in the last day' a few minutes ago. I opened the thread and updated my post.

Now the thread has disappeared. Any thoughts on this gremlin?

re: Another thread disappearing from 'postings in the last day'.

When someone posted on the thread, it re-appeared for me; I did the same on that post for you, hoping you can see it again. Let us know if it works.

There certainly is something different about how these posts are disappearing after editing older replies or original titles, at least in some cases.

Thanks for doing that Peter. Yes, the problem does seem to arise when updating previous posts and changing thread titles.

re: Another thread disappearing from 'postings in the last day'.

That's exactly what happened. When an earlier post is edited, the system looks at the original date and time of the post being edited, and that becomes the "latest date". If the edited post is older than the search parameter (such as "Last Day"), then it won't appear under that parameter. You can try the "Last Week" search to see if a "lost" thread reappears in the search.

Don't fear, the threads are not lost when this happens. They are still there.
