This is a scarce 1883 perforated plate proof block of 4 of the ½d green. It is imperforate vertically between the stamps.

Thanks Tim & smauggie; this particular stamp wasn't easy to locate and it is a very nice piece; you might find the actual size of the stamp a little unbelievable. The public at the time nicknamed the commercial version of the plate proof (same size as the proof) the "Tom Thumb" because of its very small stature, and it was not a popular stamp.

Cut a normal size stamp vertically in the middle (the same size as your avatar Tim); and then cut it in half horizontally in the middle and you will have the size of each stamp.
