No added value I'm afraid. The tab on this issue is under the stamp. What you have here is a control (sheet) number on the selvedge.
Nice stamp though.
Thank you, I was figuring on that being the case, but wanted to make sure. Value isn't as disappointing as not being able to add it to the collection. The hunt continues!

Rob, while you got the answer you expected, and not the one you wanted, I hope you keep the selvage attached. It helps to document the stamp's position on a sheet or pane (sorry, don't know Israeli production) and distinguishes it from other stamps from the same pane.
Oh yes, absolutely. It'll stay as posted. It will go into the WW book, just not into the Israel specialty album. Aiming for complete '48-present, MNH w/tabs. As well as, block sets and s/s.
The journey at this point seems rather endless, but with a lot of luck and a little focus I should get there.
Thanks for commenting,
Rob
unless one is doing, say, Allenstein, most of our journeys really are endless
Katanga is easy. Just 4 stamps!
or Carpatho-Ukraine, with its single, short-lived stamp
Maybe I should have started with one of those!

"Carpatho-Ukraine, with its single, short-lived stamp"
As others have pointed out, this is not the tab but it is a part of the selvage of the stamp sheet in the upper right corner where the cyclometer stamp (the sheet number of the run). It has no add value. Interestingly, this stamp was later reprinted in 1969 with a tiny detail change in the tab stating "Reprint1969"
I have not come across the reprints. Were they philatellic?
I have a feeling that I already know the answer to this one and it's probably not the one I'd like to hear, but...
I haven't been able to find a confirmed example of this stamp to answer the question. On this particular stamp, is that the "tab" or just selvedge?
If selvedge, is there any added value with the number?
Thanks in advance,
Rob
