Hi Ian,
I don't know about Windows 10, I've never seen it. I run OS X and Linux systems at home. Has anyone else tried accessing the Stamporama website from Windows 10?
Regards ... Tim.
I've used Windows 10 since August with no problems on StampoRama.
I did have to do a clean reinstallation of Windows 10, though. The update of Windows 8.1 had too many problems.
I have heard that if you upgrade from 8 to 10 you may have a lot of issues, most being you need to update drivers. If you are running a clean windows 10 then no issues.
I've been running Windows 10 for a few months now with no issues. It was an upgrade from Windows 8. What browser are you using?
Geoff
I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 half a year ago, and have not had any problems. I suggest it is more of a browser issue you are having. I use Chrome and Firefox, both the latest editions.

I agree with BeeSee. It is undoubtedly a browser issue, not an operating system issue. The operating system (Windows 10) has little to do with the interaction with a webpage. That is all handled by the browser --- of which class of programs Internet Explorer (which is bundled with Windows) is the worst.

This machine was running Windows 7 prior to the upgrade. I used to have Internet Explorer 9 (I think). What I seem to have now is something called Microsoft Edge, though whether that counts as a browser I do not know. It sole advantage (so far noticed) is that it connects to the internet automatically so that I no longer have to call up my service provider's website and its little diagram with offset blue bars.
Whether I did a 'clean install' I do not know. I simply pressed buttons and waited for the next command to press another button. The entire process lasted all night, through most of which I was asleep.
As you may gather, I understand even less about computers than about philately (though that is setting the bar low enough)!
Edge is the Windows 10 replacement for Internet Explorer.
From the Wikipedia article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Edge
"Thom Holwerda of OSNews criticized Edge in August 2015 for its hidden URL bar, lack of user friendliness, poor design and a tab system that is "so utterly broken it should never have shipped in a final release". He described the browser's implemented features, "Infuriating doesn't even begin to describe it" and "some sort of cosmic joke".[63]
Data from August 2015, a few weeks after release, showed that user uptake of Edge was low, with only 2% of overall computer users using the new browser. Among Windows 10 users usage peaked at 20% and then dropped to 14% through August 2015, as users tried it and many stopped using it in favor of other browsers.[64]"
Thanks for all your comments, gentlemen. I uninstalled Windows 10 and reinstalled Windows 7. Not without some tedious side-effects, admittedly, but hopefully there'll be no more dumping out of SOR postings any more.
Now download and start using Google Chrome as a browser.
Roy
I'd go along with that. I can't remember much about Internet Explorer, except I hated it. Google Chrome has some very useful bells and whistles: bookmarks, zoom, find and the other tools. A lot more too:
Even though Edge is the default browser in Windows 10, Internet Explorer is still available at the moment as part of the Windows 10 install. You just have to go and find it. This will prove useful as some government websites only support I.E. and Safari.

I'm totally ignorant when it comes to computers, but was discussing my upgrade to W-10 with my brother who is one of those computer oriented types. He explained to me, or at least tried to explain that Windows 10 is a totally app based program and basically any feature you want to use/access has to be, or has been down/up loaded as an app. Now if only I could figure out what the hell that means.
No trouble here with W10 and SOR, though.

When I upgraded to Win10, I found none of my browsers woyld connect to the internet, no matter what I did - change compatibility mode, uninstall/reinstall, etc. and I hated the Edge browser that comes with the OS.
One of the browsers I had was SlimPeak, and during my searches for answers to my problems I discovered that the makers of SlimPeak had a new browser, compatible with Win10 called SlimJet. I installed it, and I have had no further issues. It is fast, and it has some nifty features I haven't seen on other browsers
I heartily recommend the SlimJet browser.

Thanks Ted, I'm sure that tip will help many. Windows 10 is proving to be better than Windows 8, but it has many of its own issues as you point out.
Regards... Tim
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 (for no other reason than that I got fed up with incessant pop-ups encouraging me to do so free of charge).
I've noticed since then that when previewing an entry on these boards, especially when this involves extra formatting, I am dumped out of that window and onto the home page. Sometimes this can be rectified by pressing Preview again (and again), but once or twice the entire message has been lost. (That long contribution I made the other day about the Romanian stamps was dumped two-thirds of the way through, teeth-grittingly necessitating a rewrite.)
Is this a feature of the much-maligned Windows 10 - and does anyone else use it, with similar results? Or (say it ain't so, Joe) can SOR not cope with the sheer speed and excellence this wonderful new modern system?
