I just had a little peak and it looks a very useful site. One thing struck me, I thought that the excessive issuing of stamps was mainly the domain of Great Britain, particularly in recent years.
Well in 1965, Czechoslovakia released 20 issues and in 1966; 21 issues!! I'll have to dig around a bit more another time.
Happy Saturday!
I was working through some Czechoslovakia stamps today and was having a tough time with my Scott catalogue. So I turned to Google and found this amazing site:
www.cpslib.org
So cool. You can search by year, denomination, or motif(topic). Click the picture to get the details -- issue date, Scott # and another catalogue that I assume is the Czech specialty catalogue.
I was identifying stamps in under a minute each. For me that's a near miracle!
Anyway, check it out. Happy Stamping!
Mark
PS - I searched the forum and didn't find a reference to this site. Apologize if it's already a known thing.
PPS - Note to catalogue manufacturers. Do this for all your catalogues. Add a checklist feature. Make it an iPad app. You'll have customers for life, will 'save' stamp collecting and will rule the world! Scott, Gibbons, Michel. Don't care who. Do this and I'm yours.
