My scott's failed me again, any idea about this Mexican Stamp also?
Thanks,
Tom
#1: clueless
#2: doesn't a denominated tab always spell r-e-v-e-n-u-e?
If memory serves, the smaller bit is usually gummed (to remain on the thing for which the tax was paid), and the larger bit (the receipt) is not.

TIL Denominated tab! Googled up an article in linn's. The small part is called a talon.
So some BOB revenue stamp.
Thanks for the clue Ikey/Pikey

Well-spotted, Michael#s!
Points off, Tom42! ... for not posting the link
Linn's ... Exotic stamps live at the back of the book (20020909) ... good overview
Linn's ... Double your pleasure with two-part stamps (20030804)
Linn's ... Marijuana tax stamp escapes fate of going up in puff of smoke (20160203) ...

I was wondering if there more to the first photo you posted. Is it printed on an envelope, banknote, piece of stationary or is it a cutout?
Hi RobertMG, here is a better scan. Top seems cut with no perf, back looks like it was gummed to something.
IkeyPikey - Thanks for picking up my slack, I'll try and share any future links.
Tom

(My guess is that there are folks here who would not easily find what you/I find/found, so I like to see the links posted. In the particular case of Linn's - to which I do not subscribe - it only seems fair to facilitate traffic to their site in return for reading their stuff. Hmm; actually that's true for every site. Lastly, embedding the links builds the value of SOR.)
