Yes I have used this web site as a guide but I am looking for additional info...I was hoping that a fellow collector might be able to add to the time line...I realize that there is a great deal of overlapping.....
Slightly off topic, BUT -
they also have a 76 page booklet called, "Canadian Stamps with Perforated Initials"
which I just discovered, thanks to you, David!
Just saved the PDF file;
I'll be printing that one out soon!
Thanks for the website address!
(Sorry for the 'hijack', Cheryl...!)
no problem...I did that same thing...lol
Does Canadapost not have a "sample book" ? Royal Mail ( or whatever it is called this week)used to have examples of all it's handstamps centrally held in large ledgers. How easy it was ( or is ) to access this is not known to me.
Officialdom can be difficult, but is usually helpful to those who can prove genuine research. Perhaps a letter to said officialdom might help?

I
m not sure if there is a sample book or not.... I get very little help from Canada Post website
Hi,
I think you are talking about proof strikes.
These were published as "Proof Strikes of Canada". Edited by J. Paul Hughes. Published by Robert A. Lee Philatelist.
As of 1992 there were at least 15 volumes. I don't know where they are available.

I have a nice but modest collection of cancels from cork/blackout/squared circles/precancel/bar/circle /slogan...etc and want to arrange them in order of use or issue.Is there a website or a lead to assisting me? I don`t want to re invent the wheel ,I`m sure that there must be a chronological time line out there somewhere. lol Thanks Cheryl
