Thank you for that link. I've also found this one;

But, neither has the Scott numbers listed so I'm thinking Scott hasn't issued those numbers yet. A year seems awfully slow, don't you think?

Per the new issue listings in Linn's, there are updates for Japan in the following monthly Linn's issues:
April 2015 (Linn's claims, but Japan is not in the new issue listings for this issue)
May 2015
And that's it. I checked all the way up through the March 2016 monthly issue of Linn's. Nothing for Japan.

Huh, well that confirms it. I couldn't find them either! I wonder what is the problem - that is a really really long time to wait for an update, don't you think?

Hi Theresa. I looked through my Scott's Update listing in Linn's and the last listings were in the May, 2015 issue. I have also been watching as I have several stamps to identify.

It's not like Japan only issues one stamp a year!

Interestingly, Stanley Gibbons (remember them?) lists Japanese stamps profusely and regularly in Gibbons Stamp Monthly, often illustrating every single stamp in a long set rather than following their usual course, which is to illustrate one only. I have often wondered whether someone high up in SG is an avid Japanese new issues collector!
Now I wonder if SG has someone in Japanese Post Service who slips them new issue information while at the same time deliberately withholding it from Scott. 
(This contrasts with Ukraine - see a post I made recently - a country SG has declined to list now for eight years. Maybe you fellows in the US are well up-to-date on Ukraine stamps! What on earth is going on?)

The April 18, 2016 issue of Linn's contains the new issues update that includes Japan. It covers issues from March 13, 2015 through December 11, 2015. A total of ten pages of updates for Japan.

Did I miss one of the new issue magazines or has Scott not shown Japan's new issues for almost a year? Does anyone know an online source for these? Thanks for the help!
