In early Germany you have to be careful with canceled-to-order and fraudulent cancels. If the Scott catalog listing has italicized values for used stamps, those cancels need to be verified as having been postally used. Without that verification, the canceled stamp will be valued at the unused price. The catalog contains warnings regarding this.
Not anything astounding for specialists, but for plain folk like me it's always nice to find something in great shape, awesome SON (or close to it) cancels, and better than minimum CV$. Even nicer that I've found about 40 so far with moderate duplication. Might put some on the auction block if people need this area.
Thoughts?
