Welcome, Tim!
A lot of railroad hobbyists on here, so you should find some interesting stuff!
hope you managed to use our recent sesquicentennial of the Civil War to add to your collection
Welcome AAA-BOOOOAAAARRRDDDD RRcollector. I'm sure you will be able to find plenty of FDC's here and don't forget Roy's site that is listed right here in the upper right corner, just put your pointer on his ad and click. He has a tremendous amount of covers for sale at great prices.

Welcome, RRCollector! The Civil War and Stamps--now THAT's a GREAT combination!
Do you have any Shiloh Battlefield themed covers? BOB
I used to be a railroad topical collector; even turned my collection into an exhibit than won a couple awards. Welcome Tim - hope you find what you're looking for and enjoy yourself here.
Look for another thread I just posted on Model Railroading. Interesting link with the Civil War stuff as HOARD #3 is coming from a guy who was an active Civil War buff and stamp collector. I'm holding my breath this week until I get it praying there will be some US Confederate stamps somewhere. I'll post an update later.
@lemaven, unsure what circles you frequent but up here in Manitoba everyone wants a small fortune for even the dowdiest collections.

One on Kijiji that I enquired about two weeks ago hasn't even bothered to reply.
Maybe I should consider joining your clan (horde) of hoard givers or maybe just move nearer.
May your good fortune continue so we can all pick up some wanted bargains from your cast-offs.
PS Edited to add, Dowdiest was probably not the best word but was the one that flung itself into my tiny brain at that moment, actually with alarming alacrity.
@sheepshanks
I may have told some tales of woe on some other posts, but trying to get collections from people who inherit a "collection" from Uncle Elmer is depressing. My HOARD luck was really just getting my name and interests out there and seeing what happens. Be creative.
For example, I was at a Chinese restaurant and asked the lady if she had any old envelopes from letters from her family in China and she said she'd bring in some for when I go back next time. That's the kind of thing that could lead to your HOARDS!
Good luck!
New to site and am pretty much searching for US FDC's featuring: railroads, airplanes, and American Civil War cachets. Used-ok, thanks
