WOW! Going from driving a UPS truck all day to stamp collecting in the off hours must be like pulling the emergency cable on the old passenger trains!!
Welcome to SOR!!

Welcome, Art, to Stamporama!
Lots to enjoy here and lots of great people to talk about stamps with, too!

Art,
Welcome aboard! I'm a bit to the south of you in Florida, close to Melbourne. Congratulations on retiring. I retired just over a year ago and it is quite a change of pace. Stamp collecting is tailor made for retirement.
Collected world wide and US as a kid, but now focus on Great Britain and Australia. (Hong Kong stamps are starting to entice me as well.)
Purchase most of my stamps on Ebay, but StampoRama is a good place to start. Some very good deals.
Enjoy!
Eric
Welcome to SOR Art, nice to see someone from Hotlanta amongst us.

I was a UPS preloader during paramedic school. Wa-a-a-y back when. Welcome!
" Trouble is, I end up bringing more stamps into the house before I find out what I have from the last time!"
Welcome, Art.
Focussing on Canada and the United States is a good start. I am sure you will find other countries in your worldwide collection to study.
Ask lots of questions and you will get some informed answers.

Welcome Art

Never trust a stamper with a clear stamping desk.
Hello to you all! My name is Art and I'm new to StampoRama. I started collecting when a 3rd grade teacher at my school started a Stamp Collecting Club. Stayed with it on and off through the years and just recently (Feb 1 of this year) retired after 30 years as a UPS driver so now I have the time to go back and start finding out what I actually have. Trouble is, I end up bringing more stamps into the house before I find out what I have from the last time! I concentrate on US and Canada but will not turn my nose up to very much! I live outside of Atlanta GA and am active in my local stamp club. Look forward to expanding my knowledge and collection!
