ONE WORLD COMMUNITY - CELEBRATING OUR DIVERSITY! is the latest postage stamp collage completed as part of an 18-artwork series being created for the Holocaust Stamps Project (HSP) by students at the Foxborough Regional Charter School in Foxboro, MA.

The youngest pupils in this 1300-student kindergarten to grade 12 public school worked on the 18 x 24 inch picture as an extension of their year-long study about different community helpers who work together in harmony.

The three figures are made of geometric shapes as a tie-in to the youngsters' geometry work, and they are formed from international stamps featuring faces of people representing a wide variety of races, cultures, and values. The spirit of a universal acceptance of differences is in sharp contrast to the mindset responsible for the Holocaust, about which these young people will learn as they progress through school.

One "person" holds a balloon filled with "dove" and "love" stamps, a continuation of a theme running throughout all the stamps collages, ie the quest for peaceful understanding and love among people worldwide.

As of 6/8/16, the total number of donated stamps in the HSP was 7,385,661 towards the ultimate goal of 11 million, which included more than 1.8 million contributed just in the past year.

MANY THANKS to SOR members who have helped make this possible with their generous donations of unwanted and damaged stamps.

The collection continues straight through the summer. Stamps in any condition and in any quantity are welcome:
HSP, FRCS, 131 Central St., Foxboro, MA 02035
