re: July-August 2016 Stamp Insider Online

There is a short article on John Wanamaker on page 24. An interesting man. I grew up in Philadelphia and still live here. I remember shopping at Wanamaker's with my mother or grandmother. My favorite time was Christmas. There is a large open area that is probably five stories high that has balconies on each floor in the center of the first floor. There is one wall that is covered with lights and they put on a holiday themed light show every year. There is also a Dickens' Christmas Carol village. There is also the world's largest working pipe organ that plays twice a day. The picture of the eagle is a statue that is about ten feet tall. It's a Philadelphia landmark, when someone says meet me at the eagle you know where to be.
