The same thing a "good ol romp" is with two dudes now.
Prolly talking about heading out for a night of drinking.
Your perfin is for the Morgan SS Lines in New Orleans.
Judging by the juvenile handwriting, I suspect Anna is a child. So any "romping" probably refers to running around with her friends and annoying grown-ups. Probably breaking and stealing things, and making a lot of noise.
Were Buster Brown shoes popular in 1909? That may account for Mr. Stockham's nick name.
Also, one of the dogs has the name "Jim" written on his forehead. So where does this "Jim" fit in? Anna's brother?
Cheers!
Eric
"U. John" was probably Uncle John. I think Anna and Buster were cousins. (?)
Excellent card BTW

I bought this card for the perfin on cover, for my Ben Franklin collection.
Read the message from Anna to Buster... I wonder what exactly a 'good old romp' with two guys was in 1909?
And do any perfin collectors know what company Anna pilfered the stamp from? Who was "ML", I'm thinking Metropolitan Life Insurance?
