The first issue of the Fairhaven Heights Local Post was on May 30th, 1968 and the last on December 7th, 1971. The post ceased operations on August 12th, 1972. The operator was Herbert Harrington of Warren, Ohio. There were a total of 30 different locals produced. So, which one do you have?

re: Fairhaven Heights Local Post

The Apollo 11 issue was a sheetlet of 4 stamps. Issued on November 14th, 1969 and 80 FDCs were posted in Brookfield, Ohio. All of Fairhaven Heights LP issues were in perforated sheets of 4 - I believe they were printed on gummed address labels. I was an ardent collector of Modern US Local Posts during the 70's and constantly wrote to the operators of the various posts for statistical info. #s issued, #s of FDCs, format, etc. I worked on a "definitive" catalog and was able to release 2 volumes covering LPs from A through M through about 1975. Somewhere I have the info for N through Z to about the end of 1980. Life started to interfere (daughter Jaime born in 1976 and Melisa in 1979), career changes, moving, etc. and there was less and less time. Oh, well, maybe someday I'll finish. I also amassed a sizable collection during the 70's and eventually plan to offer some in Auctions and Approvals here on SOR.

Seems I got a little long winded here, sorry about that.

Not at all...That information would be lost if you had not documented it..I certainly would be interested in tapping in to those catalogues. Information on Fireside , Davis and Fabian Posts are also in my radar. I have found only a name in each case. Washington Local Post is the latest in my collection and I have a letter sent to see what I can find out....WinkingSo hint hint.
