In the Scotts Cat. #3 (2011) page 1045 the Ionian Islands, under Italian occupation, listed in the NRA's. I've notes to the fact that both NRA1 & NRA2 have the Red Cross noted on these issues. So far, I've found no listing on the internet nor my other sources to show this to be a true fact. Does anyone have these issues in their collection that can confirm or deny this noted observation?

re: Ionian Islands

If I understand your question...

My Scott 2013 lists Ionian Islands #NRA2, NRA3 and NRA4 as overprinted on Greece #RA61-RA63. Those Greek stamps would not have had the TB double cross overprinted on them. However, Ionian Islands #NRA5 was overprinted on Greece #RA65. That Greek stamp had an overprint which contained the TB double cross already on it. The catalog notes that #NRA5 was not regularly placed in use.

Ionian Islands #NRA1 was overprinted on the Greece postage due issue of 1902, so this would not be applicable.

Thank you for clearing that issue up for me Terry. It was listed on a check list on Red Cross issues from the ATA, but I don't think enough research was done on the listing.
