Seeing as it's a snow day I have started to sort some Machins (at long last). The Steiner pages refer to redrawn images, which I presume from the values, to be EME images.
In the image below would I be correct in identifying the EME stamps as the lower two?
The difference I see is that apart from being a lighter colour overall, the detail is better, lighter under the eyelids and slightly better detail on the headgear.
I have looked at the images on Adminware but do not see a noticeable difference.
Advice appreciated.

Yes, the lower two appear to be the redrawn EME Machins. The lips are the biggest clue for me as they are much fuller and defined.

re: EME Machins

Thanks David, thought that was correct but the images online are not very clear, or at least not to my eyes.
Going back to my SG 2014 Concise I see that there is a note on page 325 regarding Computer engraved cylinders but they are outside of the scope of this catalogue. Buy a specialised! Assume this to be their concept of EME, whichever phrase is correct.
Guess that means more sorting.
Thanks again.

re: EME Machins

phos45, thanks for the input but the images are pretty lousy, especially the "blue" one which is fuzzy/blurry. However when I put my copies under the microscope they look more like Photogravure with the rounder cell than the straighter lined Litho ones.
Will have to order or find a couple of EME stamps so that I can see for certain the visual differences.
Thanks for your input.

Yes, it appears to me that your identification is correct.

I find that -- on some values at any rate -- the central square jewel in the crown is a clear marker. On the original there is a significant gap between the top left corner; on the EME image there is no gap, or a very small one.
