Kelly,
Does it have the two metal tabs--one at the top and one at the bottom? If so, push these down. You'll have to press twice because the first push only unlocks the tabs. The second push is harder, but you'll hear the "snap" when the rings open.

Thanks Steve,
I'll have my attendant take a look on Monday and see if we can open them.
Kelly,
Is this actually a 3 POST binder, as you said?
I think Steve may be referring to a 3 RING binder here.....
If its actually posts, you may have either a long metal slide lock or possibly even retaining screws for each post; I've seen both types.
Sorry if this further confuses the situation!
Randy
I think she was referring to the three ring binders and yes, they can be surprisingly difficult to pop open at times. As stated you do need to pull out on the metal tabs then push down on them. Sounds easy but I can see where it'd be difficult for some folks.
They are 1943 3 POST albums - not rings. Looks like it'll take a little extra work to get into them.
Just double checked - they are screws - at least now I know how to find them! Lol
The hardest part will be moving the pages out to get to the ones I need to add.
Yes, those post style binders can be difficult to work with!
Ring binders are much more user-friendly.
I have almost eliminated all of my old post binders - only have 3 Liberty albums with posts to deal with.....then I'll be post-free!
Good luck, Kel!
Randy
It must be possible to open a 3 post album to add extra pages since my albums' previous owner did it. So the question is - how?
