Very nice presentation indeed. I looked in the Scott catalogue and find it is much more simplified -- not distinguishing "pale" from the original, as well as not referencing shades. (Or are these differences in color something other than shades?)
Perhaps my outlook is too simplistic, but I am surprised shades are given their own number in the ACSC -- if this is a dumb statement, I will accept admonishment and/or correction.
Re ACSC 294C Deep Violet Blue -- hard to see violet in that. I am intrigued, can you see more of a hint of violet on the actual stamp (vice the scan). I enjoy these subtleties very much.

They are indeed shades and yes, they are actually listed in the ACSC. I have noticed how simplified the Scott catalogue is when it comes to Australian stamps.
