Image Not FoundI recently obtained this cover on a whim and found a gem, in my opinionSurprise

The ship was commissioned in 1924 and was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and survived the attack.Applause

And on board that day was Jim Laevelle, he also survived. He was holding Lee Harvey Oswalds arm the day Jack Ruby shot him in Dallas Texas in 1963.

You just never know what you might come acrossThinking

Great cover! My dad had started a collection of ship covers before he passed away last year. He wasn't interested in anything philatelic in nature but true sailor's mail that had been cancelled from the ship. Thanks for sharing Bill. My dad would have loved it. Hope you're doing well friend.
