Starting with the recent and working your way back might be quite the exception. I suspect it's usually the other way around. Bottom line, your hobby your call! Glad to see you post here. You'll find people eager to help you. Welcome!

Welcome, Mal! You've joined the best stamp club around, IMHO.
Greetings from central Florida!

Welcome from Manitoba, enjoy the site and ask away with any questions, someone usually has an answer.
welcome Michael
I'd say you've already accomplished in a year what takes most of us decades to do: limit one's collections to a couple of things: US MNH and two topicals (plus maybe Ireland).
of course, stamps are like lungs: expanding and contracting all the time, and all to the good

Welcome !!
Welcome, Mal, from Orlando! Ireland is one of my collecting interests as well.

Welcome to Stamporama! Have fun!
Thanks everyone. Right now I'm looking for an online site that shows an image of the stamp I'm buying and also a good auction site. Checked out the auctions on this site last night and it looks like most of my money will be spent here.
Welcome............
Welcome from Hot Fort Worth, Texas.
Hello everyone. I'm a huge sports fan and former sports card collector. I've been collecting cards since childhood so I'm real late to the stamp collecting party. Never paid too much attention till my wife bought me the Batman stamps. I guess that got the interest wheels turning. About 2 months ago I bought the National albums and started buying mint US year sets. Figured I'd start to complete my National albums starting with the present and working my way back. I also recently got the topical bug so I've started to look for stamps with airplanes (was in the Air Force), churches, or whatever other subject catches my eye. Would like to maybe do something with Ireland too. I got into this hobby for relaxation and fun so I'm not collecting for resale value. Been there and done that with cards. Looking forward to meeting everyone and I'm probably going to have a ton of questions.
