Ahhh, naps. Someone of note once said that a nap after lunch is silver, but a nap after dinner is golden. I have become a devotee.

Houston is almost out of it. Unfortunately the storm has strengthened as it sits back over the gulf, and heads to Beaumont and northward. The northward path that I last saw shows the storm going over the town where I stayed with friends to watch the eclipse. 
Let's hope this is the last one for the year at least.

Woke up this morning to the same somewhat misty overcast sky full of low lying, sad looking, water heavy, stratus clouds. A little while ago I took a nap and this time upon waking the Sun hath burst forth upon the land.
