I recently have invested in GB line engraved penny reds with numerical cancellations in blue as well as green.Im looking for information as to why these colours were used, the green I bought was cancelled in green from Wexford Ireland but was this authorised? If so why weren't more scottish postal stations allowed to cancel in blue. The blue ink was hellish to work with so was quickly passed over or indeed was it ever authorised .
