Keeping with the recurrent theme among some of the new member introductions, I'll begin by saying that I'm returning to the hobby after quite some time away. Previously I collected US stamps but not now. My primary interests these days are stamps and postal history from Tristan da Cunha, paquebot cachets in general, and stamps with images of fossils (not illustrations of what the ancient living organisms might have looked like, but illustrations of the fossils themselves). Much about the hobby seems to have stayed the same, but a great deal has not. So I'm in a learning mode about collecting in general and about my specific areas of interests. Glad to be here.

I'm glad to see you here, ergertoni, after your hiatus from the hobby. I think that once experienced, the love of stamp collecting never dies, it just goes dormant, ready to be reawakened at the proper time.

Hi egertoni;

A warm welcome from the sand people of Tatooine, and from marooned Tusken Raiders, of the North woods of Michigan.

Just sortin' stamps....
