They say the last sub-tropical system to directly hit Ireland was in 2006. It was just a sub-tropical storm. This one is supposed to be a sub-tropical hurricane.

Looks like the hurricane gods have finished wrecking the USA and Caribbean Islands. Now they're sending one to Europe!
