Hi to all

This stamp I have examined very closely under UV light, and it shows no evidence of tampering.

The gold window is partially missing, probably one which shows the progression of where the gold window is totally missing.

It would help immensely to have another 'normal' one to compare it.

It looks like a machine scuff similar to what happens with United States stamps.

Maybe it is a machine scuff, I am no authority on Philately.

But I have seen a few, that other persons own as well, which makes me think it is a progressive loss of colour.
Gold is notorious for not bonding to paper.

Thanks Horamakhet it's perfect, and here is the normal stamp musicman. The colour of the marking in question seems to be consistent with the background. But John seems to have a valid point, unless someone can come up with a more definitive reason.

Quite an interesting subject stamp.

The portion of the tree visible in the lower right "window" appears to be affected as

well...actually, looks like the image/stamp has been damaged.
