Are you referring to the 2003 Antarctic Ships AAT First Day Cover?
yes and the 1989 sir Sidney Ryan Paintings
Bob, I would say that being on a FDC MIGHT reduce value a little but not much. While not a 'pure' case of being postally used, if it actually went thru the mail it would be about as close to being postally used as possible, IMHO.

It depends on the cancellation. The cancellations on most modern FDCs are clearly not the same as regular postal cancellations. Given a choice, I'd take the postally used stamps over those from an FDC. In fact, I probably wouldn't buy the ones from an FDC, which means they are indeed worth almost nothing to me. But I pay little attention to catalogue values, which are mostly meaningless.
Bob
By the same token ,a FDC could have gone through the mail system.I have a lot of FDC's sent from all corners of the globe to a gentleman in NSW all have been through the mail system some are even registered.

Regarding stamps From Australian Ant. Territory, on FDC
Scotts lists 2003 issue L120 - L123 $ 12.75 used or mint, and the 1989 issue L77 - L 80 at $ 6.05 used or mint.
Yesterday I picked up two first day covers with these sets complete. They were in a buck a cover box.
Are these stamps almost worth nothing for being on a First day Cover ????
Thanks in advance
