The error message that you get when trying to go to https://Stamporama.com is:
Now there are many versions of the Firefox browser and the way to fix this seems to differ across versions. Here is a video that talks about how to fix this, but it didn't help me at all with the version of Firefox that I have, but it might help you.
On my version of Firefox I had to go into Preferences and then Privacy & Security. At the bottom of the Privacy & Security page in the Certificates area I had to uncheck a checkbox labeled "Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates".
In the image above the checkbox is checked, but you have to UNCHECK this checkbox to fix this problem.
If any of you guys have a different version of Firefox where you have to approach the problem differently, please post on this thread giving instructions for people who need to solve this problem in their own environment.

I have Firefox Version 58.0.2
I un-checked the box as you indicated, and that solved the problem with accessing Stamporama. The web pages are loading much faster now as well.
However, the PM pages hang up for some time (it was doing this before as well), usually at least 10 seconds and often much longer. At the bottom left of the screen i see "google analytics" displayed until the page finishes loading.

Could not log on with Edge either but have come away from laptop to desktop and could log in straight away. Both are running through the same router. Will check on security setting on both systems.
Edit:-
Ok I have the same version as Michael 58.0.2 but when I went to edit this post I got the error message again.
Went in and unchecked box and was able to log in again.

Ok just gone back to laptop and logged in straight away, same version of Firefox. Box was unchecked but assume this is because Firefox saves my preferences across all my access modes.
Edge is still telling me that the site is insecure and will not allow page to load.
Did something get changed today as I was on earlier without problems.

I am using the same version of Firefox as Michael and I cannot get the Certificates box to appear. I couldn't even find Preferences. lol
After reading numerous help articles about this problem and trying various so called 'solutions' I was getting the same type of messages on all browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox & Chrome).
After 4 hours of trying to fix this problem, I ended up disabling my virus program, cleared all cookies, cache history, etc. etc. etc., turned off computer and walked away to calm down.
I just now came back and rebooted computer and the gremlins had gone to work and allowed me to log on to the Stamporama website.
Why did this problem ONLY appear on the Stamporama website and nowhere else?
Just don't anyone ask me what I did to fix the problem. Time will tell if the messages reappear later.
Heaven help those members who have very little computer knowledge and end up paying someone big 4's to troubleshoot and fix their problem so they can access our website.

Liz, with Firefox if you go to top right there are 3 horizontal bars, left click, go to options, click, go to privacy and security, scroll to bottom of page and voila there is box to uncheck/check.

I do not have this problem. I normally do not use Firefox (it is slow compared to Opera) but I had to check for myself. I am a dinosaur, and my XP machine is running Firefox 52.1 which I believe is the last stable release for WINXPSP3. I did not try it on my WIN7 machine

What changed? Did Firefox change? Why are people reporting the same issue with other browsers?
If the browser have not changed, or if there are multiple browsers involved, it would indicate a certificate, TSL, or other server issue.
I am also leery about the recommendation to turn off OCSP. Browsers use OCSP to contact the certificate authority servers to check if a certificate is still valid. Is this being recommended as a temporary solution until the certificate issue is fixed or are people supposed to turn this off for every website they visit where https is important (like PayPal and their online bank accounts)?

My wife and I have both had issues with the internet for the past couple of days. I use Edge with Windows 10, she uses Firefox with Vista. Like Michael, pages were loading extremely slow and my wife couldn't even get a browser to come up. We went through the usual suspects, rebooting PC's and the router. We even tried shutting down WiFi and hard wiring to the router, thinking maybe our router's WiFi was glitching. No luck. For me, the problem was across the board, regardless of the website. I did nothing beyond what I've mentioned and the problem seems to have fixed itself. Hopefully the episode is over, but we'll see.

Just curious if everyone with a problem is running WIN10. The usual suspect for me would be a Microsoft update, which of course, is banned in this household, and have been since 1995. Do you REALLY know what you are getting when one of them is done to your computer?
I did see this however about Firefox 58.0.2

Greg, the wife is running Vista and was having some of the same problems and even worse in some cases. I hate that they quit supporting XP, it was an excellent OS and up until a couple of days ago, I still had my old XP machine running. Still would if the monitor hadn't shot craps. Win10 isn't all that bad, but not sure how cluttered things get when everything has to be downloaded as an app. A couple of weeks ago I had to completely wipe this PC clean and reload Win10. Still don't know what that was all about, but lost much of what I had stored and have had to step by step reload everything. Me and computers have a real love, hate relationship.

I have heard enough horror stories about WIN10 to never get it. I have a WIN7 laptop and should really buy a spare one. The one I have is a refurb and has more computing power than I will ever need. Free 3 year repair too. If I had to go WIN10 I would switch to a Mac.
There are problems with XP to be sure, and should my antivirus stop supporting it then I will have to ditch it. Still, while I cannot download new flash, the fact that I have a version of Chrome that uses the old flash (chrome can't be updated), it solves that problem.
Very odd that Vista would have the same problem. Kind of eliminates Microsoft updates as the problem. The slowness issue seems to be Mozilla related according to their forums. I always found Mozilla slower on XP than other browsers so I don't use it.

Yikes! I have rolled out Linux, Apple, and Microsoft operating systems (OS) to hundreds of people every year since 1996. Every single OS release (by any manufacturer) is called the ‘worse’ by people who do not want to change. Humans dislike change.
Windows 10 is probably the best OS that Microsoft has released so far; it is far more stable than XP or Win7, has far fewer security vulnerabilities, and supports far more devices. Additionally, mainstream support for Windows XP ended on April 14, 2009, support for Vista ended April 10,2012, support for Windows 7 ended January 13, 2015, support for Windows 8 ended last month, and support for Windows 10 will end on October 13, 2020.
I recommend that folks stay current with their operating systems. I have far too many experiences with people and companies who have lost irreplaceable data because they clung onto old operating systems which are full of vulnerabilities.
But most importantly, folks should understand the evolution of a released OS. When an operating system (ANY OS) is first released, security issues and vulnerabilities have been addressed. This then becomes a challenge for the hackers, who compete with each other to see who can be the first to exploit the OS. Typically this takes about 2 months. But these elite hacker generally keep the exploits to themselves for the first year or so, the exploit is their ‘badge of honor’. But once an OS gets some age on it, these exploits find their way into the general public.
Any 14 year old kid then gets access to the hacking source code and it is off to the races. Hundreds or even thousands of iterations of the original exploit are readily available to anyone on the internet and fall into the hands of every ‘wanna-be’ hacker. Next thing you know, all your data then gets encrypted and the only way to get it back is pay a ransom to some moron. I have seen this happen dozens of times.
So over the last 10 years my mantra has changed from ‘always have good backups’ to ‘always keep your OS updated and current’.

No, way too much "baggage" in WIN10. My wife was thinking of it and I told her that if she did so, I would change every financial password so she could not access anything from her PC that could be compromised by the keylogger that is in WIN10. You know there is someone trying to hack into whatever Microsoft has that stores the information that you have logged into your computer. It's just a matter of time till its compromised. Compounding that is the difficult process of turning off the auto updates that WIN10 requires. Why do that? Here on SOR alone I know someone who allowed an update one week to WIN10 and it trashed every pc in the house. Instant garbage. I know others who have had the same problem. Of course the Microsoft swiss cheese programs of Outlook and IE were also banned in this house along with Adobe Acrobat. Nope, never a problem. I don't download video or music, I keep my virus protection up to date and have had a router since the 90's. WIN7 is as far along as I will ever go. 8 & 8.1 were no bargains and really, what is in a new operating system that I could not live without? Nothing comes to mind! As I mentioned, I'll stick with what I have until I have to switch due to the antivirus software. I know its inevitable, maybe even this year. I'll probably run peripherals like a 25" monitor and keyboard off the laptop and see how it goes. For now its basically what I bring with me when we go away.

Note - as far as stability, XP only crashes once in a while due to Chrome. There are some sites that have graphics on them that XP and old Chrome cannot handle which cause a system crash. For that reason I now use Opera

I am able to access this site with Google Chrome. Nothing else. Emails I am receiving from others show that many other browsers are not working. I'll tell them to use Chrome and that the fix is on the way for the other browsers.

Just for information - This morning I went back into Options-Privacy & Security-Certificates and ticked(marked) the box named "Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates".
Once I did this I was unable to access the Stamporama website.
Once I removed the check mark beside this box I ws once again able to access Stamporama.
It was not only Firefox that was blocking Stamporama. My anti-firus program was also blocking this site because of Certificate issues. I could not access Stamporama using either Foxfire or Internet Explorer.
Thank you Tim (and others) for all you do to keep Stamporama up and running.

Michael brought this problem to me this evening. There is a setting in the Firefox browser that causes this error to occur. It doesn't seem to happen with other browsers.
