Very odd that the sender did not include some kind of message or directions regarding the extra envelopes. I bet he is hoping you put them in the mailstream here to save him some postage
Have you been active in stamp exchange or pen pal groups? Many years ago when I was, I'd get mail like that. The sender wants you to forward mail for him to other US members to save him money or to use up some mint US.
I have been active in the Forever Stamps Exchange on and off for years, but I have never had this situation happen. One of the envelopes inside the package was opened on the side. I am not sure if this envelope was tampered with before it got to me because there was a huge amount of tape placed on the side (and over most of the stamps!) of the original envelope. By the time the envelope got to me, the tape was not even sealed anymore and I could see inside the envelope. Also, some of the USA postage on the other envelopes appears to be reused, which I know is not legal.
The other day I received mail from the Forever Stamp Exchange. It was a large envelope, which I thought was strange. It was sent from Germany. Inside was 50 stamps for me and 4 other envelopes addressed to other people in the United States with USA postage. There were no instructions for what I should do with the other envelopes. Was the sender wanting me to put them in the mail for him? I am not sure what to do with the other envelopes. There is no way to contact the sender other than by mail, and you can bet I am not paying to send these back.
