Sign on to the site. When in, click 'Browse Listing' along the top. That will take you to US listings - that's the default. On the upper left is 'View a different country or state.' Click on that, and you'll get a pop-up menu of all the stamp-issuing countries/colonies/places. Select the one you want and click 'Okay.' That takes you to the listing for whatever you selected.

Ernie is right. That is definitely a top site for me for lower value items. You're right, the interface is less than intuitive and leaves a bit to be desired, but the rewards are well worth the effort.

Ryan, Don't be to hasty! When I decided that I just could not take anymore of Ebay's B.S, I decided to look elsewhere to sell. Before I spent the hundreds of hours in listing I wanted to make sure I chose the site that was best for sellers and buyers. I chose Stamps2Go and I haven't second guessed my choice. I find it to be the most carefully laid out site on the net for stamps.
After you've selected a country you can type the Scott number for the stamp you're looking for and they will come up on the next screen. All stamps are listed by Scott. Shipping rates are all the same, $1 inside country $2 out of country. Like anywhere there are good sellers as well as bad. They are not hard to sort out by their grading and pricing. As other have said they are best for beginners and intermediates. I do not find much for my own collection there but the majority will.

Non-operational as described by those above. Country selections leave a trail of unconnected mini-windows. Not worth pursuing.

Agree with Mitch and others here. The interface is clunky, but overall S2G is quite useful. My least favorite feature is how it defaults back to US as country of choice after only a few minutes. I don't like to rush stamp shopping, especially when so much of the search involves my looking in several albums and the Scott Catalog to make sure I'm getting what I need.

I have been with them since the beginning, and over the years have actually made a number of purchases for my own albums. AntoniusRa is quite right in what he says as are the many others. Rjan, do yourself a favor and rethink your decision not to explore further.

A few years back, I also sold on Stamps2Go. Now I sell on SOR and HipStamp. I might take another look at listing some items on Stamps2Go. I still find cheaper stamps on there to complete short sets that I have accumulated.

My biggest complaint with Stamps2Go is that I don't see how to search for a particular word across countries (very handy for a topical collector). I do like that everything is listed by Scott number, but of course that turns away a lot of international sellers that don't use Scott catalog numbers.
Delcampe probably has the most listings (even more than eBay) for what I'm looking for, at least, but good luck figuring out which catalog the seller is using. I find searching by year to be useful in that case. HipStamp is not much different from Delcampe for what I'm looking for.
Occasionally I will search the less familiar venues like SOR and the APS store. I've found a few very special finds there as well.
Nobody said this was easy!

I found this thread this morning. Registered during lunch. I just placed an order for 39 items! I found the search to be simple for me, as I only collect Canada. Specified Canada in the country search bar and then a specific Scott number. Two different dealers were offering that stamp. I selected one and went to his listings. Once in a specific dealer's listings, it was easy to find what I wanted. Thanks for the info on the site.

I took a look last evening and I found it hard to zero in on one dealer that I could buy enough from off my fairly simple USA 1940s-1970s wish list of mint singles and plate blocks.
I did go through and try to put together an order to a specific dealer, just as I do on Stamporama since very often here any one seller doesn't have enough of interest to justify their postage charges.
I do like that they control postage and handling costs at $1.

I use Stamps2Go quite often and have been for years. Actually, AntoniusRa is one of my favorite sellers on there. The website is a bit clunky I agree. For example, if you select "Items by Seller" there's no way to search for a particular seller and the list of sellers seems random and can't be sorted. I'm really surprised the list is not alphabetical.
That being said, I do really like the site.

I finally got the site to work. However, I found prices too steep. I found items in British Africa for 100% catalog. I have access to better deals.

Well, you learn something every day! I did see that button, but I somehow just assumed that is referred to some kind of ID # rather than the seller's name.

There are many different sellers and they all price differently, in short time you will find which ones to avoid. There is one guy who must have been there from the beginning and he sells everything for 100% of catalog and only rarely bothers to include scans. He rarely sells anything either. To bad because it looks like he must have had a very
complete WW collection with 150,000 stamps listed on S2Go. There are some others that list mostly at a penny or so and include scans. Of course good luck on finding anything you need. I sell at 1/3 of catalog for the most part. This is the percentage that works for me and obviously for enough buyers to make it worthwhile selling for me.
One of the big problems is finding a seller that has enough items you need to meet their minimum purchase price which is often 3-$5.00. Say I want to find some stamps to fill spaces for a certain country. I'll go to that country and search the first number on my want list. I will select that stamp from each seller that is offering that stamp or set at a reasonable price and add them to my shopping cart. After I am done with that country I will go back to my shopping cart and first choose the seller who has the most stamps I need while deleting those stamps from the other sellers shopping carts. Then I will go to the next seller and do the same thing. After they have all been gone thru I will order all of the ones that meet the minimum purchase price of all the sellers. If a certain seller has something I really want but does not meet their minimum total price I will search another country they have to try and find something else I need to meet their minimum.
If you have need lists the whole search time will be greatly minimized.
Another thing I like is that the seller is required to fill out a form that requires important info on any stamp that the buyer should know. This is not the case with many other venues which may require nothing more than "stamp for sale".
One needs to familiarize them selves with the site to see all of it's options. The main search function is for single stamps but you can also search for sets, covers, topicals, pairs, blocks, cinderellas, errors, mixtures, state revenues, postal history etc etc.
Under any country page you can type in a word, such as train, dogs etc to search for topicals in the country.
You can also compare sellers by going to the top right corner and pressing "items by sellers. This also shows all seller in order of by how many stamps they have listed.
The second number is by orders processed not stamps sold. You can get an idea of what sellers are worth dealing with.

You are correct Mitch! You need to sort out the sellers the same way you would on Stamporama, because it doesn't matter if you buy stamps for a penny each, when the $1 postage charge kicks in!
I did manage to find one guy who was selling what I needed. I was searching to fill in the cheap holes in my USA 1940-1980 collection. I bought one of everything he had that I needed, both singles and plate blocks for either face or a small increment over face. I managed to spend over $30 so I filled a lot of holes!
It made for a relaxing evening, just sitting here and clicking. As others said the site is a bit clunky. There were times I hit the "next page" button and found myself back at the site start page. But I knew how to get back. I also found it useful to have my cart open in a separate window so I could refresh my tally to see how much I was spending.
The only thing I noticed was there were not a lot of covers. In fact there was nothing for me to purchase! In postal history, there were sorts for states but nothing in them! Maybe that's an opportunity..

Under "Refine Search" you can select only those items with a scan. This is what I do; I only buy items that have a scan. There are some stamps listed for a few hundred dollars without a scan. Can't believe anyone would buy something over $100 without seeing it.

I use his stamp database to build a database of my own stamp collection. After I get done with that I may start to sell some extras, but for now I am on the site frequently and use the DB software almost everyday.
But as others have said the interface is a bit clunky but a little time you can figure it out. I have emailed the owner and gotten some help on things and he responded same day as I recall.

Easy enough to navigate with many viewing choices - just need to look around and try the different functions - your computer wont blow up
Prices vary by seller from realistic to CV which is fictional if the stamp is not rare and/or perfect.
MAJOR lack of images, most are very poor quality and many are "representative not actual" - that is bull.
Overall lots of choice for lower priced issues but not seeing what you bid on - not for me - what is the fallback position if there is a problem - return, make a claim all good but too much trouble.
Lots of better sites.

Most of the higher priced items have scans. You can tell at a glance, though. If there is a blue camera to the left of the catalog number, it's a picture of the actual stamp you are considering. If the camera is black, it's a reference photo. I generally want to see what I'm considering if it's $5 or more.

Overall, Stamps2Go has served me well. I wasn't going to comment but the negative tone of many of the comments about Stamps2Go has overcome my reluctance. I thought another positive voice should be heard. As others have noted, most, if not all, of the criticisms can be addressed rather easily. Regarding the lack of scans for some stamps, I have on a couple of occasions asked for a scan of a stamp and received one quickly from the seller.

CF1957, I think I've been around the block more than most but I don't know where "lots of better sites" can be found. If they exist I'm sure most collectors could find several things they don't like about them. The question is better for who? Everyone is at different levels and have different needs. I don't know of any sites that are easier to navigate with just a little practice. Of course if you do not use Scott then it is probably not for you.
As a buyer/collector for world wide stamps there is not all that much for me because I have most of them. On the other hand your average WW collector should find it one of the better sites to shop. As a seller I find it well thought out and easy to list. I buy almost exclusively from auction venues and Stamps2Go cannot be compared with them as they are completely different.
I am getting to the point where I can't find much of anything I need/afford anywhere.
I'd much appreciate you letting me now where these "lots of better sites" are.

I too don't know what/where CF1957 has in mind, but the answer to our questions is--SOR!!!
We as a group can touch each other in friendship and collecting habits to fulfill much of our needs. It just requires our extra effort to reach out and to say 'howdie'.
We have a wonderful, untapped reservoir of potentiality awaiting. (I know you guys already know this, but it does bear repeating for our newbies.)

Dan, well I've tried to avoid mentioning about stamps being offered here for various reasons. But seeing how you are putting words in my mouth, I feel called out to correct them. The answer to my question is certainly not SOR. I have looked several times thru the offerings and have only ever found 1 stamp that I needed or wanted. It was a Palestinian stamp offered by Michael for seventy five cents. Seeing that it was not worth the trouble of ordering, I had to pass on it. Like I said we all have our different needs and I don't collect much after 1990 or dunes or post liberation colonies. All of the stamps I see here are quite common and my collection is very complete unlike many other collectors who are more likely to find something they need. The site I need lists by Scott numbers by country in chronological order and has some stamps I need at fair prices. For more valuable stamps I rely on actions. I've offered to do some trading with a few others her but haven't had any takers. Sorry for bursting any bubbles but that's simply where I am at.

Another thing I wanted to note is that Stamps2Go has the best customer service I have ver seen. I've had several times that I had questions about certain issues. My emails were answered every time within the hour from the owner.

No apologies for any bubble busting-all is good.In my particular case I've actually added to and increased my personal collecting areas by reaching out and buying/swapping. My area(s) were/are U.S.Classics and B-0-B stuff. Along the way I've made some wonderful stamppals as a bonus. In your case you are an advanced collector as am I, but my areas were able to be addressed. Sorry yours were not- but don't give up.

No doubt connections can be made here as well and I have both bought and sold on SOR. I have also bought (but not sold) on Stamps2Go, bought and sold on eBay, bought and sold on StampWants/BidStart/HipStamp, and bought only on Delcampe. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I would still like to know where the "lots of better sites" are that CF1957 mentioned.
I'm always looking for more options!

No apologies for any bubble busting-all is good.In my particular case I've actually added to and increased my personal collecting areas by reaching out and buying/swapping. My area(s) were/are U.S.Classics and B-0-B stuff. Along the way I've made some wonderful stamppals as a bonus. In your case you are an advanced collector as am I, but my areas were able to be addressed. Sorry yours were not- but don't give up.

No doubt connections can be made here as well and I have both bought and sold on SOR. I have also bought (but not sold) on Stamps2Go, bought and sold on eBay, bought and sold on StampWants/BidStart/HipStamp, and bought only on Delcampe. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I would still like to know where the "lots of better sites" are that CF1957 mentioned.
I'm always looking for more options!
