At least on Stamporama, you don't have to worry about site fees, so you get to keep more after the sale than when selling on other sites. Of course now we are all being faced with the international postage costs, especially for posting from the United States. That definitely can put a damper on sales. But give it a try here. What can happen other than you might rid yourself of some of those pesky duplicates!
Michael is correct, and like Stamporama there are other sites that completely free. I have over 29000 stamps listed on Webstore and I can honestly say that after Stamporama it is the best site for stamp collectors.
This is my store:
Approvals at Stamporama is high on the "to do" list. Just have to ......
Will look into webstore.com to.
1.24 fee per item plus invoice plus envelope-wow! Make a buck off of me but not two is what I always say-
I was on Webstore for a number of years and had great success but like most free selling sites slowly but surely seller severely began to out number buyers...........for me the site is as dead as a doornail. It could be worth a try only cost is a verification fee forget whether it is optional or obligatory.
After returning to stamp collecting I was thinking of taking up the selling of stamps from my duplicate albums.
I was selling at Delcampe 8-10 year's ago. Did not make a lot of money, but some and it was fun. I also sold on stamp2go, some on Ebay and some Norwegians selling sites.
The Norwegian site, qxl, still is a selling site, but the fee has increased and it is impossible to sell there. Fee for selling is 8% + nok10 = 1,24$ for each item sold!
Delcampe has now these fees: 7.50 % of the monthly amount + €0.25 per item sold (Club+ G : €0.15) And listing there without a lister tool is so time consuming that it's a no go.
Ebay has never been a good selling option from Norway. To high fee (have not checked now, but I recon they are not lower now than in 2010?
stamp2go is to USA oriented and is no good from Norway. But must be good for US and Canada residents.
There is one Norwegian site who is good, low fee and works good, from inside Norway. Maybe from outside Norway to. That is "GiBud", only 4% selling fee of what you sell. Free listing and good search options on Norwegian stuff. But Norwegians only bay quality. And there are not a huge lot of stamp collectors I Norway.
I will look at selling options on colnect, have bought some there. Easy listing as you can list directly from you're own collection list, just add a scan of what you actually are selling.
Then there is the auction and approval here at Stamporama, will have to try them.
The point is not to sell a lot, but when you are accumulating more than you need, and you know other might need/want, it is nice to help them and get something back.
I also do some swapping, and that is great, but it is a lot of work and some has a low limit for quality so you might get stamps with fault and you have to send back and .....
