I spoke to Dave last week about it and he explained that there was some difficulty with the website provider or something that he was working on. He seemed to feel that he would get it fixed by this week.
i suggested new software to facilitate image upload. a lot was lost when 3rd party host demanded fees ...
The Machin Forum is open once more, as of this morning.
Follow the steps to Log in and if there are any problems
write a note to Dave.
JT and others,
Dave said that this seems to have something to do with
Chrome and the non-use of HTTPS
He will talk the web-designer when he returns next week.
It seems odd that an information only site should be being
reported as "not secure".
He, of course, will work on it and let us know.
Does anyone know what has happened to the Machin Forum? Although there has been relatively little activity of late, it was a surprise to me to find that the URL at http://stamp-collector.co.uk/MachinForum/index.php?sid=92f7faa4d9ef58ce1fa55bbb6e2ecb38 returns an error message (404 Not Found) saying The requested URL /MachinForum/index.php was not found on this server.
It has been this way for over a week.
