It's a sad day for me today, and probably for many who grew up in the 1960s and 1970s in the New York City area. Dan Igram, the top DJ at 770 WABC AM Radio has passed away. Ingram defined what a Disk Jockey was, and was the template for so many that came after him. I have so many of his air checks that let me remember those days when I listened to him on my little handheld transistor radio. Rest well, sir. You were the King of the DJs.
