WE can easily start such a rumor and then when RM actually goes for the Goose's Golden Egg, again, we can brag about how we knew it all along.
I suppose in every one of the four remaining countries, they are working on the designs for a special stamp should they win the world cup.
"Are there any rumors of special surprise stamps to be issued in the event England wins the Cup? If so I hope to see something better than the 1966 overprint."
Many commentators said there was a strong half and a weak half of the schedule. In the strong half all the socalled stronger teams have eliminated each other and in the other half countries like Russia, Croatia, Sweden and England ended up in the quarter finals. Croatia played well in the first round and were lucky in the other matches, whereas the other teams... what to say... I agree with Londonbus that England were not really tested much up to now and might even make it to the final. However, I think that whoever wins the France vs. Belgium match will also win the final.
But what is it with Croatia? Is there a good reason that at the final penalty kick they all stood as if their feet were planted in cement ?
Or were they afraid their feet would be planted in cement if Russia lost.
As for the schedule, when I first saw it I wondered if that was then plan, so Russia could manage to get into the finals.

OK I've jinxed things now..
