Reviewing my Maury catalog of French colonies ( Dahomey specifically) for varieties I came across a couple odd translations with Google Translate... any help on what these actually mean would be helpful...
piquage a cheval = horse stitching ?
piquage oblique par pliage = oblique stitching by folding ?

A bit of context would help!
These would make sense if related to booklet stitching, but no sense on a stamp. Are there any grave or acute accents missing from your post?

Problem solved thanks to a Google search
piquage oblique par pliage = perf error by folding
piquage a cheval = perf error by shift

Duh... thanks Dave ! I got so caught up in thinking translation I didn't even think to just strait google it... sometimes the forest for the trees gets me... appreciate it !!!
