Ordinary collectors tend to not like stamps with perforated initials (perfins) or pre-cancels (unless the stamps were only issued pre-canceled). Those collectors will buy such stamps usually at a steep discount.
However, there are collectors of both of these types, and some of the perfins and pre-cancels can be worth quite a bit.
It just all depends who the buying audience is.
To a GB Perfin collector it all depends on which high value stamp it is, how rare the perfin is, the condition of the stamp and how clean and precise the perfin is.
Am curious about high catalog perfinned stamps...especially old ones from Great Britain. I am sure the value drops down extensively...maybe even down to 5%. Does anyone have any information about how to calculate their value.
