in my Steiner pages for France the 1981 tourist issue has spaces for seven values a 1,40 thru a 2,60 but my Scotts 2012 shows only 5 issues a 1.70 thru a 2.20 ( # 1732 - 1736 )??

ANY help on which is correct would be appreciated.

Thanks
Bob

The 2017 Scott also shows the same 5 issues (1732-1736).

There was a 2.60 stamp of Saint-Emilion issued on the 10th of October 1981, and is included in the Stanley Gibbons Tourist Publicity issues for 1981.
Gibbons also includes a 2.90 stamp of a Crest in the same series which was issued on the 28th of November 1981.

Thanks - looks like Steiner included them in the tourist set but scott numbers them separately as #1775 and 1776.

I appreciate the help

Album pages (from any album page publisher) often do not follow catalog order.

And catalog publishers often seem to be in a world of their own.

Which is what I was trying to show in this thread
about the Machin series.
My example;

re: Steiner France Question?

I do not envy the catalogues their job when they have to decide what numbers to use especially with Royal Mail using so many different printers/papers and numerous other variations in the stamps they produce.
The "Same" stamp can be produced in sheets, Booklets, Minisheets, Prestige Booklets and as Self Adhesives!!
