Jewish National Fund label?
.
Hard to imagine a JNF/KKL label without their name on it.
Lots of local organizations sold labels - or used them to show payment of dues, etc - without having the resources to have something custom printed.
Cheers,

Gloat away, lad, gloat away.

Below is an example Pane of 10 from the JNF Overseas Offices in Paris.
IkeyPikey,
Does the Bale catalogue only cover Israel proper? think Judaica is an absolutely fascinating area of the hobby. They didn't even have a country until 1948 but as we see from this thread it goes much deeper than that.
.
Ernie: gonna have to let someone who has seen a copy of Beal's answer your question.
Cheers,
/s/ ikeyPikey (who has added this to his short list of things to do at his local philatelic library)
The three Bale catalogues cover the postal history and stamps of the Ottoman Empire period (1840-1919), the Palestine Mandate (1918-1948) and modern Israel (1948-present).
None of these include the JNFF/KKL labels, except for a small number of these labels that were overprinted for postal use during April and May 1948, the "interim" period between the closure of the Palestine Mandate post offices and the issuance of Doar Ivri (Hebrew Post) stamps which are listed in the Israel catalogue.
The JNF specific catalogues that I am aware of are:
* Rochlin's handbook of the issues of the Jewish National Fund which is apparently a large in excess of 600 page catalogue. Currently in print it is available from http://israelstamps.com/product/rochlin-handbook-of-the-issues-of-the-jnf/
* Stamp catalogue of the Jewish National Fund by Jay L. Kaplove, I don't know whether this is still in print, but a rather tatty 1973 edition is currently listed on eBay
* Catalogue of the Jewish National Fund stamps 1902 - 1950 by Eng. Jsidor Simon. A thin 20 page pamphlet.

I'd never heard of Beal's so thanks for that info. I have a Phillips Catalogue on CD but would love to get one of those Rochlin Catalogues. I much prefer the paper types.
I have a JNF list from the Organization head office here in Jerusalem but it's a bit dated and they no longer produce them. The list follows the Kaplove number system.

"... I mistakenly thought that your Beal was a Bale typo ..."
"they are selling their current stock of Rochlin (down to a handful) with damaged covers for U$D 65 ... with the next printing, the price goes up to U$D 95."
Neither the APS Library nor the Rocky Mountain Philatic library have the Beals catalogue. I wouldn't want to add it as a collecting area but I would like to see the catalogue.

Thanks Don,
The link worked when pasted into the browser bar, but for some reason not from the forum. At least it is accessible from your very useful site.

Stamps, shmamps.
The contents of the two parcels were:
- Rochlin's Handbook of the Issues of the Jewish National Fund
- Courlander's A History of Jewish Arts and Crafts on the Postage Stamps of Israel
- Aizenberg's Postcards From The Holy Land: A Pictorial History of the Ottoman Era, 1880-1918
https://israelstamps.com/bookstore/ ... all from the Society of Israel Philatelists (SIP) bookstore
Cheers,

No value on stamp. Has a Star of David. Obviously issued before State of Israel (1948)
Is it a stamp? If so what country?
