Counterfeits of PRC stamps is very high tech. It will be next to impossible to determine if it is genuine or counterfeit from an image on a computer monitor.

Not just PRC counterfeits. A few years ago a specialist in modern (and earlier) forged stamps showed my club a booklet of then-current Canadian definitives that could only be identified because of a subtle difference in the printing of of the booklet cover. The stamps themselves appeared to be perfect, and were thought to have been made in Russia for sale as postage in Canadian convenience stores.
