Hi Horamakhet

The stamp is very difficult to find in MUH and showing a prominent full stop. I'm sorting out all my BCOF varieties, and then I'm going to upload all the major errors.

Hi all,

These are my latest purchases of BCOF, I tend to buy any I see now, the amount of varieties as Rob knows, are incredible.
Rob really opened my eyes to the interesting field of BCOF

The weak N of Japan on the pair of 2/- is very interesting

Hi Horamakhet

Quite a nice set of BCOF stamps, nicely centred, the 5/- (thick paper) is a little centred to the top but otherwise still a nice stamp catalogued at $250.

The pair of 2/- kangaroos have a couple of missing perfs, but it's not just a weak "N" variety which is seen on the right stamp, the left stamp has a weakened "B", weakened "JA" and the year "1946" weakened, this is a variety where the overprint itself is affected by a weak impression of the overprint.

All the varieties mentioned are not listed in the ACSC.

There are no varieties visible on the bottom three, but they are well centred copies.

Hi Rob

I will have to get a new album to store all my BCOF stamps.

It is fascinating.

Would love to find a 3d with the overprint double, that I believe is the rarest of the lot.

Hi Horamakhet

They are a very historical and fascinating stamps, I have a 3d double overprint on cover, it's very rare. Here it is. There is only two of these covers in existence.

The double overprint on cover is rarer than the overprint in MUH condition. The double overprint is definitely very rare, but the rarest is the triple overprint, they exist but I have never seen one, if one was on the market these past 40 years I would have made every effort to own it.

I actually bought an album dedicated for the BCOF to house the regular issues, proofs and varieties, and there are many varieties, and all are worth money, in the 2015 ACSC, the cheapest catalogue value is $40-$50 and there aren't too many of them at that low price.

And in the new soon-to-be-released 2019 edition, the price will increase. I spoke to Geoff Kellow last week about the new edition of the KGVI and he said it will be issued sometime this month, as the book is behind schedule, it may not be until sometime in February, but I have my fingers crossed that January it will be.

We will be waiting a long time for a new edition of the QEII ACSC, as no new information had come forward from Geoff that work on a new edition of the QEII series would be forthcoming.

There are 3 books of the QEII, the first 1952-1965 and the second 1966-1975 will be of the most importance.
