I am attaching scans of stampless covers with going to and coming from Austria. I cannot make out a couple postmarks to to poor strikes. Hoping someone can figure these out.

First one is an 1845 cover from Linz (15 Aug) Austria to Beneschau (now Benešov 19 Aug) Czech Republic. There seems to be an in transit postmark on 16 Aug but I can't make it out.

Unknown Postmark - Looks like it starts with an "Neu" and ends in an "N"Image Not Found

Unknown Postmark:

The 2nd cover is going to Vienna, Austria in 1844. I cannot figure out the origin postmark. Both the origin postmark and the Vienna postmark are on the same day so the origin cannot be too far from Vienna.

re: Austrian Stampless Covers Postmarks Help

Hi parkinlot,

I think the first one is NEUZEN near the Czech border, north west of Vienna.

I guess the second one is CSAKTORNYA.

This is the Hungarian name for Cakovec in the far north of Croatia, east of Maribor / south east of Graz.

The first C of Cakovec has a hachek/caron accent.
