Here is another one but at the base of the tree near him, What make is that ?? To me it looks like a number Can someone else see a mark there??
Hi Pooh
The stamp with the "WANDAI" postmark is not a "Pantaloon".
Rob
Hi Pooh
The second stamp looks like a "Pantaloon flaw" or a variant of one of the five progressive states of retouching, and what I see that looks like a "10" may be a few closely joined lines that give an impression of a "10", as the block of 20 I have plus a few single stamps do not have the impression of a number at the tree base.
Again, a larger image will help if possible.

Hello Rob, This is the best scan I can get
Hi Pooh
They are shading lines slightly darker and closer than normal giving the impression of a number.
Rob
So is this a Plantaloon stamp?? What stage would it be??
Hi Pooh
The stamp with a dark patch on the pants is a "Pantaloon" and is worth about $85 on the open market. There are 5 states so far, but the stages are progressive and can result in many variety of states. I do not have any of the stamps in question showing the first 5, nor can I describe them as I am not familiar with the various progressive states.

I'm happy as now I have a Koala up a tree and a Pantaloon stamps
I learn something new every time I come here! "Pantaloon" stamp--who knew? The discussion at the link has some close-up images that helped me a bit.

Hi Steve
Thanks for the link, I found a series of images of the first five states of retouch from this site from the same site you have a link to by a good friend of mine.

Hi Pooh
All you need now is the man with tail and you will have the set of 3.
Here is a link to a site that shows the first 5 progressions of the "Pantaloon" flaw, the contributor is a good friend of mine.
